Temporary visitation restrictions due to COVID-19 are in place.
Your visitors are welcome guests. The companionship of those you love can aid in a speedy recovery. However, rest and therapy are important to your health, too, so we encourage your friends and loved ones to limit their visits to short periods within our visiting hours. In consideration of any other patients sharing your room, we ask that you limit your visitors to two at a time.
Making you and your family comfortable
Orange Park Medical Center firmly believes that family involvement is an integral part of a patient’s hospital experience. In order to maintain safety, security and comfort of all patients and visitors, please follow our visitation guidelines. If you show any signs of illness, please stay home. Our patients are at much greater risk to catch your illness. Phone calls are a great way to visit when sick and every patient has access to a phone.
8:30am – 8:30pm
If your visitors need assistance with directions or visitation information, an auxiliary member at our information desk can assist them. Call (904) 639-8559. If a patient would like to restrict his/her visitors in any way, or has special needs in handling visitors, advise the nurse of these needs and then they will make appropriate arrangements for handling of visitors.
Other visiting hours
Two visitors at a time are allowed to visit and no children under age 12 (without special permission) are permitted. Please contact the nurses with regards to visiting times. The ICU staff may limit the length of visitation based on the patient’s condition and the need for rest. Open visitation except for shift change.
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: No Visiting Hours
National Holidays: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
8:30am – 8:30pm
Family members free of illness and infection are encouraged to visit.

Overnight visitation and visitor waiting areas
Waiting areas are located throughout the facility to accommodate family and friends waiting to visit patients. Because of limited space, we request that no one stay overnight in these areas.
Overnight visitors shall be responsible for providing their own personal necessities and are asked to stay within the parameters of the patient care area and maintain a quiet environment as a courtesy to all patients. Overnight visitation is at the discretion of the nursing staff and based on patient condition.
Visitors for patients in the emergency department must check with the ED front desk staff before entering the ED patient care area. They must also obtain a visitor badge.
Please Note: an adult visitor must continuously supervise children less than twelve (12) years of age. All visitors, including children, are expected to dress appropriately – which includes shirts and shoes.
