The ECFMG offers a service called ERAS Support Services to anyone who is ECFMG certified or nearing certification. The ERAS Support Services will issue the ERAS token, receive the applicant’s supporting documents and transmits them to the ERAS PostOffice, and provide client support between the various organizations.

Not at the PGY-1 level. All GME training programs are required to use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) to receive and accept applications to the program. All programs at our facility will participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) as our primary method of recruiting trainees. Please see “How to Apply” page for instructions on PGY-2 and above candidates.
International Medical Graduates (IMG's) are required to be ECFMG certified at the time of your application or far enough along in the application process that you will receive certification no later than your residency start date.
All J1 visas for physicians in clinical training programs at our institution are sponsored by ECFMG.
