USF and HCA Create Florida Trauma Network
Orange Park Medical Center begins provisional trauma services in November 2011
Floridians now have better odds of surviving the worst accidents and injuries thanks to a trauma partnership between the University of South Florida and Hospital Corporation of America (HCA).
Five HCA hospitals are forming a trauma services network that extends from Miami to the Jacksonville area to Bradenton on the Gulf Coast. The University of South Florida will run the new trauma center at Orange Park Medical Center, immediately putting an experienced group of physicians at the helm.
