Orange Park Medical Center is pleased to provide a convenient Lung Cancer Screening to the community to help detect lung cancer earlier. Even if you feel like you are in good health, this is a wonderful opportunity to get screened for lung cancer before any symptoms may be present. When you take preventative measures and catch problems early, there is a better chance of a positive outcome. Use the assessment below to determine if you should consider having a lung cancer screening.

Each screening is done in a comfortable setting with a CT lung scan -- a painless, noninvasive procedure that provides detailed three-dimensional images of your lungs. When scheduled ahead of time, the entire appointment should take approximately 20 minutes. Our radiologist will then review the low dose x-ray images for any suspicious spots that need further attention. The physician will provide same or next day results, answer any questions, and if needed, recommend further testing or treatment.

Is the Lung Cancer Screening Right for Me?

  • I am between the ages of 55 to 74
  • I have smoked a pack a day for more than 30 years OR I have smoked two packs a day for more than 15 years
