Your Personal Breast Care Coordinator

Fear of breast cancer is very real. We understand the sensitive and significant nature of breast health concerns. Our Breast Care Coordinator is a registered nurse who specializes in breast health and breast health information. She is your resource for emotional support, as well as educational information and assistance in scheduling appointments.

Your Breast Care Coordinator will:

  • Coordinate subsequent care within our imaging department, primary care physicians, surgeons and oncologist 
  • Listen to your concerns 
  • Guide you to resources and contacts 
  • Help you understand what to expect from different tests or treatments 
  • Answer your questions 
  • Perform a breast cancer lifetime risk assessment screening

Our comprehensive breast imaging services include:

  • Digital screening and diagnostic mammography 
  • Computer-aided detection 
  • Breast ultrasound 
  • Galcatography 
  • Breast MRI 
  • Stereotactic, ultrasound and MRI guided breast biopsies 
  • Screening breast MRI according to the American Cancer Society guidelines 
  • Pre-surgical needle localizations 
  • Sentinel node imaging

Screening breast MRI risk assessment

In accordance with the American Cancer Society guidelines, we offer screening breast MRI’s. Our Breast Care Coordinator will perform the risk assessment-screening exam for women who have a strong family history. For those who have results that show a greater than 20 % lifetime risk of breast cancer, a screening MRI may be of benefit.

Cancer support group

Join other women and share your feelings and receive support dealing with cancer. Whether you have been recently diagnosed or are helping someone else on this journey, you are not alone. For more details, contact our mental health counselor at (904) 639-2640.

Lymphedema treatment

Lymphedema can be a side effect for many women undergoing breast cancer treatment. Our Department of Rehabilitation Services is available to help you. To make an appointment, contact our physical therapist at (904) 682-7632.
