Orange Park Medical Center Patient Tower Expansion Complete

August 03, 2012

Orange Park, FL – Orange Park Medical Center is pleased to announce the opening of their new 42 bed, two-story patient room addition, as part of their continuing facility expansion project. The bed tower expansion, which will be completed August 11, is a twelve-month project providing 22 new private/medical/surgical beds on the fourth floor and 20 new state-of-the-art critical care beds on the fifth floor. With the additional floors to the North Tower, Orange Park Medical Center will now have 297 rooms, following an emergency department expansion and Provisional Level II Trauma Center designation.

“Our staff is excited to begin providing quality patient care in the new medical and intensive care patient rooms,” said Tom Pentz, Chief Executive Officer at Orange Park Medical Center. “The expansion will allow us to continue serve the growing needs of our Clay County residents and surrounding communities.”

Upcoming expansion and renovation projects for 2012 through 2013 include two new operating rooms, lobby renovation, dietary and cafeteria expansion, laboratory and pharmacy expansion and new classroom space for education.
