Orange Park Medical Center Hosts Reinvention Factor Seminar

May 18, 2010

Orange Park Medical Center will host a seminar called Reinvention Factor for area women. This seminar is designed to help women understand how health can be reinvented at any age through diet, fitness, allergy control, smoking cessation, better respiratory health, and other lifestyle changes. The event will be held at the Center Court of the Orange Park Mall on Saturday, June 5th between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Registration is not necessary.

“Women think about reinventing their lives only when things aren’t going well, but there’s no reason to wait for some dramatic event to occur in order to make a positive change.  Any time is a good time to refocus and re-evaluate,” says, Jill Buie, Community Relations Director at Orange Park Medical Center. “And remember, reinvention doesn’t happen in a flash. The key to successful reinvention is to take small steps, live day-by-day, and set realistic goals.”

This seminar is an opportunity for women -- and their families -- to evaluate, or reevaluate, their health and well-being by focusing on breath and breathing. There is a saying, “the way you breathe is the way you live.” Taking a deep and full breath is the key to connecting with one’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Dr. Luis Laos will talk with attendees about taking action to improve their respiratory health. Pulmonary function testing, blood oxygen testing and blood pressure screenings will be offered. Vendors will be present to help women reinvent their lives by offering beauty makeovers, diet and exercise tips and much more.
